Evaluation Standards

Competence: systematic methods, content knowledge and continual growth in methodology

Integrity: accurate representation of skill and knowledge, declare conflict of interests, sensitive to cultural and social environment and agreement on confidentiality, privacy, communication and findings of reports.

​

Accountability: responsible for information concerning the evaluation process, clear accurate and fair presentation of the report, account for funding of evaluation, completion in a reasonable time.

Utility: 

 

The utility standards are intended to ensure that an evaluation will serve the information needs of intended users.

Program evaluation of Structured Word Inquiry will identify the users of the program to address and meet their needs addressing their questions by responding to needs and interests.  

The evaluator will be trustworthy, competent to achieve credibility and acceptance. The evaluation report clearly describes the program, context, purpose, procedure and findings of the evaluation.

Feasibility:

 

The feasibility of the program evaluation of Structured Word Inquiry will be practical and realistic, taking into account the various stakeholders' needs and interests. The evaluation will be efficient and produce usable information of value to the teachers with consideration to cost.

Propriety

​

“Propriety Standards The propriety standards are intended to ensure that an evaluation will be conducted legally, ethically, and with due regard for the welfare of those involved in the evaluation, as well as those affected by its results."

​

This evaluation will be complete and fair, recording the strengths and weaknesses of the program with the goal of building on strengths and reducing shortcomings. Any conflicts of interest will be addressed openly and honestly so it doesn't interfere with the evaluation.  All findings of the evaluation will be provided to the stakeholders.

Accuracy

​

The accuracy standards ensure the program and information revealed from the evaluation will provide clear, accurate and detailed documentation. The context will be examined to identify influences on the program. The procedures for gathering of information will be chosen based on the enlightenment strategy in order to gather reliable information for enhancing the program  use. Ongoing review will be completed to correct errors. Both qualitative and quantitative information will be analyzed to answer the program goal.   The conclusions well be justified with impartial reporting against bias to reflect the findings.
